Perfect Day at Sea
I found Sailing Daffy on Trip Advisor and then contacted Captain Charlie. From beginning to end this experience was five star. We has the perfect day. The boat is easy to get to. Everything is provided for comfort including bathroom, changing area, towels, seat cushions/floats, snorkel gear, shade, knowledge of area and humor.Grab a cooler, leave your cares behind. If you love to sail or you want to "sea" if you do, Sailing Daffy is for you.Would recommend for couples, families and friends up to 6 people.

Great Experience!!!
We had a four hour tour with Captain Charlie and it was great!!! He is very funny and entertaining person and has a lot of stories to tell.
The Daffy boat is spacious and clean. We sailed in the open ocean and it was amazing.
The whole experience from start to finish was great.
Definitely will come back again.

20th Wedding Anniversary
Captain Charlie is a great man. Perfect boat captain. He took time telling us all about the area we sailed thru. Asked what we wanted to do, and made sure that it happened. I was able to go swimming in the ocean for a while. My husband got to help raise and lower the sails. I even had a chance to sail the Daffy. We enjoyed our 20th Wedding Anniversary on the ocean, and Captain Charlie made sure it was perfect. I will definitely sail with him again if I go back to Fort Lauderdale. Don't say Cheese, say WIND!

Private Sailing Charter
Fabulous 4 hour private charter with Captain Charlie on Sailing Daffy. Very warm and welcoming - made us feel safe and right at home. Packed a picnic, brought along some cocktails and relaxed as we sailed along the river, intercostal and ocean. Highly recommend!! Very family friendly! Great customer service - very honest, reliable, timely, safe and knowledgeable. A MUST DO!!

Sailing memories
Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful Ft Lauderdale day out on the boat. First time sailing with Captain Charlie and hopefully not the last. Very accommodating to special needs, trustworthy and gracious. Great with kids. Wonderful memories!! Recommend without hesitation!

Birthday Cruise!
5 Stars for Captain Charlie! He led my mom, aunt and me through the river and into the Atlantic just in time to see the beautiful sunset. The delay caused by the bridges didn't stop us from enjoying the perfect weather, beautiful homes and yachts, and each other's company. I would recommend this trip to anyone! Awesome Day at Sea!
We had a wonderful sailing experience. We had visitors from overseas and wanted to show them around our waterways, but at the same time wanted some relaxing time to talk, catch up and have an enjoyable time for both adults and kids. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Captain Charlie was friendly, kept us entertained, gave a sailing crash course to each one of the kids and let them sail, gave us our space to chat, took pictures, etc. Communication and booking was super easy and hassle free. Absolutely recommended Sailing Daffy is the way to go. I know we will come back. Thanks Captain Charlie!

Birthday celebration
More than what we could have expected! Thank you for making our experience memorable!!! Captain Charlie is well mannered, light hearted, fun, with a great sense of humor. What made our experience so special was the fact that my two young children 6 and 4 continuously ask when we can go back to see “Captain Charlie”. Now all of their toys have taken on the name of “Captain Charlie”. What more could you want for your kids while enjoying yourself at the same time??!!! Thank you so much more than just having a commercialized event but a personal experience! We will be back!

Absolutely Loved it!!
Captain Charlie is the absolute best. I was invited to go on a Daffy sailing adventure with a good friend and oh my God what a blast we had! We loved it, the boat was wonderful, the tour was wonderful and Charlie was a blast and made the trip so much fun.

Ft Lauderdale sail November 9th
My dad was visiting from Maryland and has enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake. I wanted to have him an experience sailing in Ft. Lauderdale. We had a great time on the Daffy. Captain Charlie was very awesome. Definitely made some wonderful memories with my Dad. Would definitely book again.

Captain Charlie is Simply the Best
We sailed with our 11 month daughter. I’m a first time mom and while I try to be chill, I was uneasy about what we were getting into. Captain Charlie was amazing. He was warm and inviting, very safety conscious, while still being fun. Truly an expert at his craft and completely put my mind at ease. Can’t wait to come back.

A Terrific Adventure
This was definitely one of the highlights of our family vacation! The Daffy is a beautiful sailboat and Captain Charlie's love and passion for sailing is infectious. Our 11 year old was very reluctant to be out on the ocean. An hour into the trip she was behind the wheel and loving it! We learned so much about the area, Captian has a wealth of interesting facts and information. If you are considering a sailing trip, I wouldn't go any other way, fantastic experience!!!

Sailing and fishing trip
Charlie was the perfect captain. He was extremely responsive for the booking. He was well prepared for departure when we arrived. We have 3 young boys (6,6, and 5) who really wanted to fish. Captain Charlie found the perfect spot. We also were able to get out to the ocean for some real sailing which we all really enjoyed. Charlie was so much fun, and the kids loved him. The boat was very nice and kept clean. We would absolutely book Charlie again when we come back to Fort Lauderdale!

We booked only for half a day on the world famous Daffy but at the end we really wished it was a much longer one as Capt Charlie made it fun and we learned some important sailing skills. Highly recommended.

Very memorable family experience
Wow, what a memorable family experience! Captain Charlie was so hospitable and accommodating to our family. We have two little girls, ages 8 and 4, and they had no problem sailing on the Daffy. We also appreciated his flexibility. The weather was raining the morning we had scheduled our sail, so Captain Charlie texted us to see if we wanted to go out later after the weather cleared. He also texted me to confirm our trip the day before, which I appreciated because we booked months in advance. All in all, our sail was everything we could have asked for. Thanks Captain!

Captain Charlie
Charlie is great with communication. Our group booked months in advance, and unfortunately his grandson ended up having graduation that day. He let me know a few weeks in advance and offered a full refund, a different day or a different Captain.
Charlie had already contacted other sail boat places and connected me with someone who was available for that day, who honored the same rate and time, if I still wanted to go.
I'm sad I did not end up getting to go on The Daffy, but I am looking forward to my trip.

Sailing on the Daffy was the highlight of our trip. Captain Charlie is incredibly knowledgeable and also incredible friendly. This was perfect for our proposal as he had made both my self and my fiance incredibly comfortable. The trip went perfectly out at sea and we had amazing sailing weather. The views for sunset at sea are unlike any other you'll get from land.
Bring your phone and your drinks and enjoy your time at sea.

My family & I went sailing this past Monday with Captain Charlie on the DAFFY & had an AMAZING time.
It was a great experience right from the start - prior to booking, Captain Charlie answered all my questions, very timely, sent photos and was extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling. He listened to my concerns & assured me that the trip would be no problem for my father, who has mobility issues & promised us a wonderful time. He did not disappoint.
Captain Charlie was great! He assisted my dad on and off the boat & could not be more welcoming. His sense of humor, expert sailing skills and wonderful disposition made our ride even better (if that was even possible). The DAFFY is a beautiful boat and we had a wonderful time. Captain Charlie and the Daffy are thoroughly enjoyable!
My wife and I went for a 6-hour sail from downtown Ft. Lauderdale out to sea and back. It was relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, and a lot of fun!
We are already planning an extended overnight trip during the cooler weather!

We chartered Sailing Daffy for our final day in Fort Lauderdale and it was such a treat. We packed a cooler full of snacks and beverages and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The boat was well-maintained and Capt Charlie was an excellent guide. Can't find enough words to describe what an awesome experience we had with Capital Charlie while sailing Daffy! If I could put a thousand starts I would lol!!! He was very accommodating when I asked if I could bring my friendly doggy along with us, he also is very fun to be around and very knowledgeable! He even let us swim for a while and we had such a wonderful time! Even when we got some rain, that didn't stop capital Charlie from making us have a great time. Over all, we had a wonderful experience, I would definitely recommend him and I am looking forward to come back again!!!!

My family and I took a half day sail with Captain Charlie on Daffy recently. While the swell was maybe bigger than we expected, Captain Charlie and Daffy exceeded all expectations.
Daffy was comfortable, with plenty of room in the cockpit for our family and the Captain, she was very clean and well taken care of. We've never been sailing before, so with the swell and heeling over quite a bit it was an unexpected wild ride, but our small children did well (the 2 year old even fell asleep on the cockpit after a while).
Captain Charlie was great. A professional who clearly knows the area and sailing very well, and his wife was very kind and made us some sandwiches to bring along and some excellent cookies that my kids talked about the following day - saying they wanted to go back on Daffy just for more cookies.
It was definitely a good experience even though the wind and waves were more than we'd expected. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to see South Florida from a different perspective or wanting to experience something unique to take a half day or full day trip on Daffy. Tip - let Captain Charlie know what you want to do and he'll make it happen, whether a sailing intro lesson or fishing and a swim.

Capt. Charlie operates a sail boat from the dock behind his home. The million-dollar yachts are parked along the waterway leading to the harbor. As you navigate out you get to see how the other half lives. $20M mansions abound.
After cruising past the luxury views we made it out beyond the cruise ships and out to the ocean. We raised the sails and spent another hour under sail where we got to see dolphins just off the boat.
It was a fantastic way to spend 3.5 hours on a beautiful day.
If you're in the area and want an affordable option to head out on the water then give Captain Charlie a call. Although there are occasional Groupon deals available I'd suggest just calling directly since you will likely get a better deal from the man himself.

Captain Charlie was the best part of our Awesome Adventure aboard the Daffy. He knows so much about sailing and the area. The views were beautiful and the company was great. He made us comfortable and let us try our hand at finding the "sweet spot" at the wheel. We definitely recommend that you climb aboard and leave it up to him be sure to let him know that you like Jimmy Buffet. If you bring him a Heineken and you will have a friend for life! The Sailing Daffy was a wonderful experience. For a south Florida native and tourist alike. Captain Charlie was entertaining, accommodating and professional. His boat was clean and equipped with everything you could Possibly need. He told intriguing stories about the local area and made jokes to keep us laughing. Even though the weather wasn't the best and neither are my sea legs, he kept the boat stable and all of us feeling great. I would highly recommend this experience for a group of even a private outings.

Amazing experience. I proposed to my girlfriend, now fiancé, and Captain Charlie accommodated everything I asked for. Very friendly and knowledgeable but also gave us space where we could spend time with our friends and family, and not feel awkward. Would recommend this to anyone interested in going out for something romantic or just for a few hours and some good drinks and great scenery. Will be back again, for sure!!

It was a great experience right from the start - prior to booking, Captain Charlie answered all my questions, very timely, sent photos and was extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling. He listened to my concerns & assured me that the trip would be no problem for my father, who has mobility issues & promised us a wonderful time. He did not disappoint.
Captain Charlie was great! He assisted my dad on and off the boat & could not be more welcoming. His sense of humor, expert sailing skills and wonderful disposition made our ride even better (if that was even possible). The DAFFY is a beautiful boat and we had a wonderful time. Cannot wait to go back! Thank you Captain Charlie, our new friend!!

Captain Charlie and the Daffy are thoroughly enjoyable!
My wife and I went for a 6-hour sail from downtown Ft. Lauderdale out to sea and back. It was relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, and a lot of fun!
We are already planning an extended overnight trip during the cooler weather!

We chartered Sailing Daffy for our final day in Fort Lauderdale and it was such a treat. We packed a cooler full of snacks and beverages and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The boat was well-maintained and Capt Charlie was an excellent guide. Whether for a beautiful sail down the river and into the ocean or to celebrate something special, I would highly recommend Sailing Daffy!

We had a wonderful sailing experience. We had visitors from overseas and wanted to show them around our waterways, but at the same time wanted some relaxing time to talk, catch up and have an enjoyable time for both adults and kids. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Captain Charlie was friendly, kept us entertained, gave a sailing crash course to each one of the kids and let them sail, gave us our space to chat, took pictures, etc. Communication and booking was super easy and hassle free. Absolutely recommended Sailing Daffy is the way to go. I know we will come back. Thanks Captain Charlie!

Can't find enough words to describe what an awesome experience we had with Capital Charlie while sailing Daffy! If I could put a thousand starts I would lol!!! He was very accommodating when I asked if I could bring my friendly doggy along with us, he also is very fun to be around and very knowledgeable! He even let us swim for a while and we had such a wonderful time! Even when we got some rain, that didn't stop capital Charlie from making us have a great time. Over all, we had a wonderful experience, I would definitely recommend him and I am looking forward to come back again!!!!

My family and I took a half day sail with Captain Charlie on Daffy recently. While the swell was maybe bigger than we expected, Captain Charlie and Daffy exceeded all expectations.
Daffy was comfortable, with plenty of room in the cockpit for our family and the Captain, she was very clean and well taken care of. We've never been sailing before, so with the swell and heeling over quite a bit it was an unexpected wild ride, but our small children did well (the 2 year old even fell asleep on the cockpit after a while).
Captain Charlie was great. A professional who clearly knows the area and sailing very well, and his wife was very kind and made us some sandwiches to bring along and some excellent cookies that my kids talked about the following day - saying they wanted to go back on Daffy just for more cookies.
It was definitely a good experience even though the wind and waves were more than we'd expected. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to see South Florida from a different perspective or wanting to experience something unique to take a half day or full day trip on Daffy. Tip - let Captain Charlie know what you want to do and he'll make it happen, whether a sailing intro lesson or fishing and a swim.

Capt. Charlie operates a sail boat from the dock behind his home. The million-dollar yachts are parked along the waterway leading to the harbor. As you navigate out you get to see how the other half lives. $20M mansions abound.
After cruising past the luxury views we made it out beyond the cruise ships and out to the ocean. We raised the sails and spent another hour under sail where we got to see dolphins just off the boat.
It was a fantastic way to spend 3.5 hours on a beautiful day.
If you're in the area and want an affordable option to head out on the water then give Captain Charlie a call. Although there are occasional Groupon deals available I'd suggest just calling directly since you will likely get a better deal from the man himself.

Captain Charlie was the best part of our Awesome Adventure aboard the Daffy. He knows so much about sailing and the area. The views were beautiful and the company was great. He made us comfortable and let us try our hand at finding the "sweet spot" at the wheel. We definitely recommend that you climb aboard and leave it up to him be sure to let him know that you like Jimmy Buffet. If you bring him a Heineken and you will have a friend for life! My husband , two daughters( 11 and 7 year old) and I chartered The Daffy and had a wonderful time. Our girls enjoyed swimming in the ocean. Captian Charlie was very entertaining and informative. We highly recommend his charter!!

The Sailing Daffy was a wonderful experience. For a south Florida native and tourist alike. Captain Charlie was entertaining, accommodating and professional. His boat was clean and equipped with everything you could Possibly need. He told intriguing stories about the local area and made jokes to keep us laughing. Even though the weather wasn't the best and neither are my sea legs, he kept the boat stable and all of us feeling great. I would highly recommend this experience for a group of even a private outings.

Amazing experience. I proposed to my girlfriend, now fiancé, and Captain Charlie accommodated everything I asked for. Very friendly and knowledgeable but also gave us space where we could spend time with our friends and family, and not feel awkward. Would recommend this to anyone interested in going out for something romantic or just for a few hours and some good drinks and great scenery. Will be back again, for sure!!
